The WA State Government has unveiled the concept design for the new children's hospital which will also be the new home of the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research. The design, which includes the external facade and layout of the building, was developed with input from internal and external stakeholder groups, including members of community; youth and Aboriginal advisory committees; and staff, patients and their families.

On Tuesday 24 April 2012, the Meningitis Centre will join other meningitis organisations across the globe to encourage individuals, families and communities to learn the signs and symptoms of meningitis, the importance of urgent treatment of the disease and that prevention is available through vaccination against some forms of meningitis, as part of the fourth annual World Meningitis Day. At the Meningitis Centre, our goal is to eliminate meningitis in Australia and we have joined with the Confederation of Meningitis Organisations to stop meningitis worldwide. Watch our new video and share it with your family and friends to make sure they know about meningitis, know the signs and symptoms, the urgency to treat and the preventative measures available.
